How to make the most of hot cross buns

Easter isn’t complete without our freshly baked hot cross buns. Choose from our wide range and enjoy them just as they are, or lightly toasted with a spread of your choice. There are also infinite ways to turn them into savoury snacks and tempting desserts. Here are a few handy tips to make the most of these delicious baked goods.

Storage tips

  • To keep hot cross buns fresh, transfer them to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place. You can also use a zip-lock bag; if using, try to remove as much air from the bag as possible before sealing.
  • Hot cross buns will last in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 5 days and in the freezer for up to 6 months.
  • If freezing, wrap hot cross buns individually in baking paper, so you can remove and thaw the portions that you require.

How to enjoy hot cross buns
