How to make the most of hot cross buns

There are also infinite ways to turn them into savoury snacks and tempting desserts. Here are a few handy tips to make the most of these delicious baked goods.
- To keep hot cross buns fresh, transfer them to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place. You can also use a zip-lock bag; if using, try to remove as much air from the bag as possible before sealing.
- Hot cross buns will last in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 5 days and in the freezer for up to 6 months.
- If freezing, wrap hot cross buns individually in baking paper, so you can remove and thaw the portions that you require.
